Our student leadership team was absolutely amazing this year. Their hard work and dedication completely transformed the nature of mission in a powerful way. The vision of creating an atmosphere where space camp meets a break out/escape room became a reality.
The team used the NASA Space Mission And Design (SMAD) process to plan and organize the mission. By using the actual process NASA uses they were able to incorporate elements of nearly every capstone project in the program. This enabled teams to draw on the experience of each member as they solved problems related to the various elements of mission.
From launch, to docking, to lunar landings, to building the moon colony Vanguard each and every member was fully involved in the creative problem solving process. This mission is one for the ages and will serve as a model in the future.
