This department is typically broken into two categories: Hardware engineering and Software engineering. Hardware typically works in construction, creating structures and building items used in Simulated On Board Emergencies (SOBEs). Software engineers work with the various computer programs used in CASA and determine how these programs will be used, sometimes maybe even creating a new program of their own.
